Let’s be honest: These days, there’s hardly a company left that isn’t undergoing a change process. The changes facing companies—for example, those driven by AI—are dynamic and ongoing. Yet change in companies isn’t exactly a success story. Eighty percent of these processes fail—not because of the strategy, but because of resistance from employees.
The reasons for this: Employees feel poorly informed about the change process and its various phases; emotions run high over specific issues, creating a “toxic” atmosphere; the change is imposed in a dictatorial manner “from above”; or the pressure caused by the change leads to personal stress and creates divisions within the workforce.
Of course, there’s a ton of literature and non-fiction books on the subject. But theory is theory, and practice is practice. With our new“Change Champions,”we’ve created a program designed for real-world application. It runs on employees’ cell phones and is more like a game. Through playful engagement and numerous feedback features, employees become an active, positive part of—and a driving force behind—the change process.
Change-Champion’s areas of focus:
- Structured Information Management
- De-escalation Programs
- Features for Active Participation in Change
- Employee Surveys
- Detailed AI Screening on Change-Related Topics
- Techniques for Reducing Stress Among Employees
- Team-Building Activities
Employees’ engagement is rewarded with points they earn for reading articles, watching videos, listening to podcasts, or taking quizzes. Points are also awarded for participating in surveys, writing posts, or actively taking part in discussions. Just like in a game, employees move up from one point level to the next and receive badges as rewards.
The result of this “Changification ” is a genuine shift in attitude—from a defensive stance to one of understanding and a willingness to actively support change within the company.
