Data protection
The protection of your personal data is of particular concern to us. We therefore process your data exclusively on the basis of the statutory provisions (GDPR, Austrian Telecommunications Act – TKG 2021). In this privacy information, we inform you about the most important aspects of data processing on our website.
Contacting us
If you contact us by email, the data you provide will be stored by us for 24 months for the purpose of processing your inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We will not share this data without your consent.
Collection and processing of your data, purpose limitation
Email inquiries to us are received by our own mail server. Data you provide to us by email will not be passed on to third parties without your consent (except where required by law). We use it solely to process your inquiry.
Cookies
Our website uses so-called cookies. These are small text files that are placed on your device with the help of your browser. They do no harm. We use cookies to make our website user-friendly. Some cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. They allow us to recognize your browser on your next visit. If you do not want this, you can set up your browser to inform you when cookies are being set and to allow them only on a case-by-case basis. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of our website. For the correct display of fonts, a tracking pixel from the font provider myfonts.com is embedded for correct billing purposes.
Analytics
Our concern within the meaning of the GDPR (legitimate interest) is the improvement of our offering and our web presence. Since our users’ privacy is important to us, user data is pseudonymized. User data is retained for a period of 24 months. This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Its use is based on Art. 6(1)(1)(f) GDPR.
Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website, such as
- browser type/version,
- operating system used,
- referrer URL (the previously visited page),
- host name of the accessing computer (IP address),
- time of the server request,
is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data. We have also extended Google Analytics on this website with the “anonymizeIP” code. This guarantees the masking of your IP address so that all data is collected anonymously. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there.
On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide the website operator with further services related to website and internet usage. You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser software settings accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent.
You can also prevent the collection of the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en. As an alternative to the browser add-on, particularly on browsers on mobile devices, you can also prevent collection by Google Analytics by clicking here. An opt-out cookie will be set that prevents the future collection of your data when visiting this website. The opt-out cookie is only valid in this browser and only for our website, and is stored on your device. If you delete the cookies in this browser, you must set the opt-out cookie again.
We also use Google Analytics to evaluate data from DoubleClick cookies and AdWords for statistical purposes. If you do not want this, you can deactivate it via the Ads Preferences Manager (http://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/?hl=en).
Privacy policy for the use of LinkedIn
Our website uses functions of the social media network LinkedIn. The provider is LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland. Each time one of our pages containing LinkedIn functions is accessed, a connection to LinkedIn servers is established. LinkedIn is informed that you have visited our web pages with your IP address. If you click LinkedIn buttons while logged into your LinkedIn account, LinkedIn is able to associate your visit to our website with you and your user account. We would like to point out that, as the provider of these pages, we have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or how LinkedIn uses it. Further information can be found in LinkedIn’s privacy policy at: https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy.
LinkedIn Insight Tag
This website uses the “LinkedIn Insight Tag”, an analytics and tracking tool provided by LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland. The LinkedIn Insight Tag enables the collection of data about visits to this website, including URL, referrer URL, IP address, device and browser characteristics, timestamps, and page views. This data is encrypted, anonymized within seven days, and the anonymized data is deleted within 90 days. LinkedIn does not share any personal data with the owner of this website, but only provides aggregated reports about the website audience and ad performance.
Your rights
In principle, you have the rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, withdrawal of consent, and objection. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or that your data protection rights have otherwise been infringed, you can lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde).
